BA (Hons): Meaningful Storytelling during a time of Disruption
The final year of my bachelor's degree coincided with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.This work combines stories set during a global crisis and major societal change. Through audio episodes, written pieces, and video work, I explore life during lockdown — conversations within South African families, the effects of lockdown on mental health, daily routines, nightly dreams, media habits, and my relationship with my 100-year-old grandmother.

MA: Media Studies, Digital Cultures
This master’s programme observed the myriad of ways technology has shaped our society. We investigated how technology has both influenced and been influenced by human behaviour, interactions, communication, and understanding the past. Using both theory and practice, this programme took on an interdisciplinary approach to explore our current digital world.
Master's thesis: The role of digital storytelling within sustainable Dutch fashion network, Culture.Fashion (explored during my internship at FASHIONCLASH)
Course work: As part of our course work, my master's class created a digital collection of three-dimesional objects using a Structure from Motion approach. Our collection, The Virtual Time Capsule, examined technological advancements and some of the cultural and social shifts of the 21st century by spotlighting 21 objects, and the stories they tell.
I digitised the Crayola crayons 'Colours of the World,' to explore themes of inclusivity, racial discourse, representation and standards of beauty.
